CAN I BRING MY OWN EQUIPMENT?
Yes, you may bring your own equipment. A small dredge no larger than a 4" suction hose is allowed and if used according to all laws. A highbanker is allowed and must be used according to all laws. We will provide the operating permits through the Oregon Dept. of Environmental Quality. There is no cost. If you use only your equipment, then you qualify for a DISCOUNT of $100.

CAN I BRING AN RV?
Yes, a new road to our property was constructed in the summer of 2000. Most RV's can be accommodated throughout the 440 acres, and there are roads inside the property that suit them. Please call for more information on this subject. There are no locations to park large motor homes outside the gate. We can also recommend a couple of RV campsites approximately 10 miles away which you wish to camp prior or after the trip. We allow motor homes, tents, trailers and campers on-site. There are no hook-ups.

WHAT IF I WANT TO SLEEP OUTSIDE, SAY IN MY OWN TENT?
Yes, you may bring a tent and there are many, many areas that are nicely clear. They are also closer to the work area than the cabins. We offer a $100 discount if you provide your own sleeping quarters.

DO I GET TO KEEP ALL THE GOLD I FIND?
Yes, the Service Agreement has a `finders keepers' clause that protects your ownership of the gold you find no matter how much you find. This clause applies to only the time frame during your paid trip as indicated on the signed Agreement.

HOW IS THE GOLD SPLIT UP ON A COMMON OPERATION?
When working with the backhoe and a common operation is run, much more material is moved and processed. Therefore, more gold is found. The gold is placed in a single container and then distributed at the end of each day to those guests attending. You may work your own equipment and still get your share from the "Common" The larger nuggets are drawn by pulling random names from a hat. First names get their choice at the nuggets, one draw per nugget until they are gone. The rest of the flakes and flower gold is split by approx. weight and each guest gets an even share.

WHAT IS THE COST FOR THE TRIP?
With everything provided, including food, equipment and accommodations, a 3-DAY TRIP is $450. The 4-DAY TRIP is $550. See CALENDAR for the list of scheduled trips.

CAN I PROVIDE MY OWN FOOD?
Yes, but our food is excellent, and you can spend more time mining than cooking if we provide your meals. We no longer offer a discount for providing your own food and cooking.

WHY DON'T WE WORK OUR PROPERTY OURSELVES?
We do, and spend much time doing so. The TRIPS offer to us a way of sharing a very unique property and opportunity with people who enjoy the same activities we do but don't have either the equipment, property or background. We enjoy both working our property in private and sharing it with others during the trips. Its a balance that we've made that makes our guests, friends, and even the many environmentalists happy. The alternative to our trips and small processes is to work all of the property using multiple front loaders, an escavator, and a very large wash plant. Our activity is clearly the better of the two from an environmental perspective. We just don't wish to make our property look like the moon surface!
